The Makers, a unique concept store and all-day brunch spot in the heart of Athens, is a labor of love that radiates passion and creativity. Owned by the visionary trio of Teti Haritou, George Ballas, and Ilias Stavropoulos, The Makers seamlessly blends artisan accessories with an exquisite menu of coffee and healthy breakfast options. Despite launching during the pandemic, The Makers quickly garnered a dedicated audience, contributing to the revitalization of Praxitelous street.

Upon entering the elegantly designed interiors of The Makers, visitors are welcomed by the tantalizing aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The menu boasts a delectable selection, featuring healthy breakfast choices like the spinach crepe with a fried egg and avocado on the side, as well as the indulgent waffle toast served with a bio egg, cheddar, and prosciutto cotto. Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted by the apple tart served on a fluffy creme patisserie bed, a must-try treat.

The Makers' tables offer a variety of nutritious options, including coconut yogurt bowls with oats, berries, and cinnamon, and fluffy waffles made with kefir dough and buttermilk. As patrons savor their meals, they can also explore the adjacent shelves and hangers, adorned with the homonymous brand's linen and cotton aprons, place mats, and towels. The brand, known for crafting work uniforms for restaurants, cafes, and hotels, was co-founded by Teti Charitou and Giorgos Barlas.

Driven by a focus on wholesome and vegan dishes, The Makers' menu continues to impress with its rich yogurt bowls, acai bowls, and pancakes with ricotta. For a light lunch, patrons can indulge in rice bowls, organic egg omelets, and refreshing salads, such as the Green Salad with a delightful mix of bok choy, mizuna kale, Manchego, miso dressing, panko, and green olives.

The Makers is not just a culinary haven; it is a creative space that houses a tailor shop and wholesale offices upstairs. This ingenious concept, borne out of Teti Charitou's haute couture atelier in Kolonaki and Giorgos Barlas' background in clothing wholesale, fosters a welcoming environment where artistry and gastronomy converge. In the open kitchen at the center of the store, partner Ilias Stavropoulos oversees the preparation of delectable dishes, bringing his culinary expertise to the forefront.

With its emphasis on nutritious cuisine, stylish artisan accessories, and an ambiance that nurtures creativity, The Makers is a must-visit destination in Athens. Whether seeking a relaxing brunch, perusing artisan goods, or immersing oneself in the bustling culinary scene, The Makers provides an unforgettable experience that truly encapsulates the essence of Athens' thriving cultural and culinary landscape.
