Huus Gstaad Hotel, Gstaad Switzerland - Review

Updated: Apr 12

Let's talk about Huus Gstaad Hotel, a stylish retreat nestled in the Swiss Alps. Since its debut in December 2016, this hotel has become a go-to spot for both locals and travelers alike. Situated between the villages of Saanen and Gstaad, this seven-story, 136-room chalet blends traditional Swiss charm with modern amenities, offering guests a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere to relax and explore.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Huus Gstaad for one night, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The check-in process was seamless, and the front desk staff informed us that breakfast was included with our stay (a pleasant surprise!). We were also invited to enjoy a welcome drink at the lobby bar, a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for our stay.

As I stepped into my room, I was immediately struck by the alpine-inspired design. The dark colors were complemented by bright accessories and lamps, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The beds, made by renowned Swedish manufacturer Hästens, were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

One of the highlights of my stay was the balcony, offering panoramic views of the Rüeblihorn mountain. It was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the breathtaking scenery.

When it came to dining options, Huus Gstaad did not disappoint. Guests can choose between the hotel restaurant, where breakfast is served, or the à la carte restaurant La Vue. I opted for the latter and was treated to a front-row seat near the open show kitchen, where I watched the talented cooking brigade, led by head chef Giuseppe Colella, work their magic.

After a day of exploring, the hotel's 2,000 m2 spa and wellness area provided the perfect retreat. While the pool was popular with families, the spa offered a tranquil space to relax and unwind.

One of the standout features of Huus Gstaad is its extensive selection of all-inclusive leisure activities. From rafting and mountain biking to Nordic walking and guided hiking tours, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Overall, my experience at Huus Gstaad Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. I want to extend my gratitude to the hotel for hosting me and providing such a memorable stay.
