Reeza, a name derived from the Greek word for 'roots,' showcases an unwavering commitment to reimagining the essence of the island's most authentic culinary traditions. Nestled poolside within the esteemed five-star Rocabella hotel in Agios Stefanos, the restaurant has earned its well-deserved reputation among Mykonos' finest dining establishments. A visit to Reeza readily unveils the reasons behind its acclaim – a mastery of not only flavor but also aesthetics, crafting dishes that are as visually enchanting as they are delectable.

The Rocabella hotel has undergone recent renovations that seamlessly blend traditional architectural elements with contemporary sensibilities, all while preserving the island's inherent charm. The combination of stone, wood, and judiciously placed desert-like vegetation creates an atmosphere of primal intimacy and genuine hospitality, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

Every dish presented at Reeza arrives on exquisitely handcrafted ceramic plates and bowls, transforming the act of dining into a multisensory delight that appeals to both the eye and the palate.

Food review Reeza

For my initial course, I embarked on a culinary journey with a delicate salad featuring brie cheese and peach – a simple yet delightful introduction to the evening's delights. The octopus marinated in soy sauce and cooked to perfection followed suit, surpassing even my Mediterranean standards for seafood quality.

The gastronomic odyssey continued with the tender and impeccably cooked small burgers, showcasing wagyu beef in all its glory. A further exploration led me to the gnocchi, adorned with a truffle sauce that introduced an exquisite dimension of flavor.

The culinary masterpiece concluded with four exceptional desserts, crafted by the pastry virtuoso Spiros Artelaris, each seamlessly harmonizing with the Mediterranean-inspired menu. Reeza's extensive array of meticulously concocted cocktails adds an extra layer of delight to the dining experience.

The allure of Reeza extends beyond the plates and glasses. It's a symphony of remarkable cuisine, impeccable service, breathtaking surroundings, and a laid-back ambiance, all converging to create an evening that lingers in memory. For those seeking to capture a slice of the extraordinary, an early dinner at Reeza becomes a front-row seat to the enchanting spectacle of the Aegean sunset, an experience that undoubtedly beckons for repetition.
