Armani Acqua di Gio Eau de Parfum

Acqua di Gio Eau de Parfum was created "with the future in mind," explained the marketing professionals during the virtual presentation of the fragrance, where Giorgio Armani's efforts "to protect the planet and people" ( O-Ton media documents) was informed: To my astonishment, to be quite honest, because I hadn't really had Mr. Armani on the screen as an eco-activist until now. And that's why I was pleasantly surprised that Acqua di Gio Eau de Parfum not only contains mostly sustainably sourced ingredients from nature, but is also available in a refillable flacon.

In addition, with Acqua di Gio Eau de Parfum, Giorgio Armani supports a project to protect the southern Amazon forest in an area I learned from his team: "This is intended to stop the increasing deforestation in order to reduce CO2 emissions, a ensure sustainable timber harvesting and promote overall conservation efforts in Brazil.”

Just as strong as the commitment to environmental protection is the extremely long-lasting fragrance formula of Acqua di Gio Eau de Parfum, for which star perfumer Alberto Morillas combines sparkling raw materials from mandarin with clary sage in the heart note and patchouli essence in the base note to create a sensual fresh fragrance for the modern gentleman.

Fragrance ingredients encompass those that are natural and sustainably sourced, including those whose origins are certified, ensuring traceability. Among the fragrance's sustainably sourced ingredients are hand-selected green mandarin orange from southern Italy; sage harvested in Provence, in the south of France; and vetiver from Haiti. The patchouli comes from Guatemala and is harvested through solidarity programs, which means that Giorgio Armani guarantees decent working conditions and fair prices for farmers, and supports access to some primary needs for the community, such as access to clean water.

All sizes of Acqua Di Gio Homme EDP are refillable. Refillable bottles are designed so that the refill bottle attaches without a spout, allowing the fragrance to effortlessly and seamlessly decant back into the original bottle. The outer box is made from the same FSC-certified card as that of all Giorgio Armani fragrances, while the refill packaging is cellophane-free.

All in all, Acqua di Gio makes Eau de Parfum an exciting men's fragrance that I hope will soon be associated by many people with just as fond memories as I did with the original for women from the 90s.
